Leadership of the innovation and sustainability teams which have come together in one larger, integrated team on 1 July 2020. In addition to innovation initiatives and activities as outlined in the previous role description, the team focuses on defining, reporting and supporting Fletcher Building’s sustainability commitments. In 2019 Fletcher Building committed to achieving a 30% reduction in Scope 1 (direct) and Scope 2 (indirect) carbon emissions by 2030. This target is based on keeping global temperature increases below two degrees Celsius. This target is verified by the Science Based Targets initiative, a recognised international third-party verification body, and aligns with the Paris agreement goals.
