2018 has resulted in a few changes to the Return On Science Investment Committees.
To be able to provide the best support for such a wide range of projects, we are constantly seeking new talent to join our Committees.
Some of the new additions include:
Vignesh Kumar - has a background in global technology design, and most recently worked for Apple Inc.
Vignesh has joined our ICT Investment Committee.
John Villiger - has been working in the pharmaceutical industry for many years, co-founding The Medicines Company, and Medical Director for Hoffman-La Roche.
John has joined our Biotech & Life Sciences Investment Committee.
Brett Cowan - formerly of the ICT Investment Committee has transferred across to the Physical Sciences Investment Committee.
In June we also introduced a new cohort of student Investment Committee Members into Return On Science, these include:
Will McKay - is a PhD candidate studying Aquaculture at University of Auckland, whilst also being the Science & Innovation Manager for an NZ oyster company. Will has joined our Agritech & Foodtech Investment Committee
Bradley Hosking - is an undergraduate student that has joined our Agritech & Foodtech Investment Committee.
Will Hewitt - is an undergraduate science student that is also the founder of a start up company.
Will has joined our Physical Sciences Investment Committee.
Elena Yu - is a post graduate computer science student, Elena originates from China where she founded her company, Enjoydata.
Elena has joined our ICT Investment Committee.
Joseph Jabin - is a Computer Science PhD candidate, and he has founded two start up companies in India.
Jospeh has joined our ICT Investment Committee
Odette Lees - is a Masters of BioScience Enterprise student, and the marketing lead for Chiasma Auckland.
Odette has joined our ICT Investment Committee.
Nour Ghamri - is an Auckland Cancer Society Research Centre PhD candiate, with a strong background in predictive biomarkers.
Nour has joined our Biotech & Life Sciences Investment Committee.
Elliot Dunn - is a Post Doctoral Researcher for the University of Auckland and also assisting the development of a biotechnology startup.
