I am a patent attorney, solicitor and engineer, who manages a team that provides intellectual property advise to the University of Auckland staff and students.  I have an interest in electrical and mechanical inventions, including ICT technologies and in particular medical device technologies.  My team and I work closely with the Commercialisation team at Auckland UniServices to provide IP due diligence in relation to investments in and the commercialisation of technologies flowing from the University of Auckland.

My team and I also manage a diverse patent portfolio across all technologies created at the University of Auckland.  In particular, I manage the ICT, physical science and engineering patent portfolio.  We also interact very closely with spin-out companies of the University of Auckland, assisting with management of IP portfolios and providing IP advice as necessary.

Prior to working at Auckland UniServices I worked for many years at A J Park, a leading Intellectual Property firm in Australasia, providing valuable IP advice for many NZ companies.  Notably I worked very closely with Fisher & Paykel Healthcare Limited and Les Mills Limited.
