Non-Opioid Analgesic Implant

Non-Opioid Analgesic Implant attended the Biotech & Life Sciences Investment Committee in March 2018
Globally, more than 230 million surgical procedures are conducted each year. We have previously demonstrated three-day regional infusions of local anaesthetics reduce pain and improve recovery following major abdominal surgery. We have developed an implant which can release an analgesic drug locally to the surgical site for 3 days following abdominal surgery, after which it can be removed.
