Ross has wide experience in running his own agricultural manufacturing business and has had considerable entrepreneurial success in the primary sector. He continues to provide management support for large scale manufacturing building projects and recently completed the successful building of his third feed mill in New Zealand, on budget and on time. Ross’s agricultural background has encompassed on farm consultancy, dairy conversions, forestry establishment (and management) and until recently, has operated his own farming operations for 30 years. He is currently involved with developing mobile wallet technologies in challenging environments and is particularly focused on micro financing of farmers and agriculture in countries without banking facilities.

In addition he is a Director of Lincoln AgriTech Ltd, Chairs Lincoln University’s farm Committee, sits on Lincoln’s science research and commercialisation committee and has acted as Lincolns Principal Advisor for the past year or more. Ross has collected a number or prestigious awards during his career including; Winner Waikato’s Agri Business of the Year, Winner Waikato’s Manufacturer of the Year, Finalist Waikato’s Health and safety Awards, Winner Regional Innovative Business of the year, made Deloitte’s fastest 50 growth companies in NZ two years running, Winner of Westpac’s Supreme Business of the year and won the Ernst and Young entrepreneur of the year for service in 2009. Ross also acts as Key Advisor to New Zealand’s Meat Industry Excellence Group (MIE). A group determined to tackle the necessary changes urgently needed in this $8 billion industry. Ross is a Lincoln alumnus and was the last VFM Gold Medallist.
